There is something so special about mother–daughter sessions, and Leah and Zoe’s time together in the Smokies was truly a joy to photograph. Leah was visiting her mom from Texas and thought it would be fun to plan a quick photo session during their trip — and I’m so glad they did.

From the moment we started, this session felt effortless. Leah and Zoe are both absolutely gorgeous, inside and out, and their connection made every photo feel natural and genuine. There was lots of laughter, easy conversation, and that relaxed feeling that comes when you’re simply enjoying time together.

We kept the session short and sweet, which was perfect for their schedule. They squeezed in photos before heading off to Dollywood, proving that you don’t need hours to capture meaningful memories. Sometimes a simple, laid-back session is all it takes to preserve a season of life you’ll want to remember forever.

These are the kinds of sessions I love most — unhurried, joyful, and full of heart. Leah and Zoe, thank you so much for trusting me to document this special time during your Smoky Mountain visit. I hope these images always remind you of this fun trip, your laughter, and the bond you share.

If you’re visiting the Smoky Mountains and thinking about doing a quick family or mother–daughter session, this is your sign to go for it. The memories are always worth it.
