The Loyet family traveled from Missouri to spend time together in the Great Smoky Mountains, and I’m so glad they chose to document their trip with a family photo session. From the moment we started, this session was filled with genuine joy, laughter, and kids being exactly who they are.

This truly felt like twin week at Whitney Jo Photography, because these twins were absolutely adorable. They kept things lighthearted and fun, and their personalities shined in every photo. One of my favorite things about family sessions is letting kids be themselves, and this group made that easy. No forced smiles — just real moments.

Caitlin was a little camera shy at the beginning, which is completely normal. By the end of the session, though, she had completely won me over. She shared that she wants to be a photographer when she grows up and even started thinking up her own poses. Watching her confidence grow during the session was such a sweet reminder of why I love what I do.

The boys were a hoot from start to finish, keeping everyone laughing and adding so much personality to the session. These are the kinds of moments families often don’t realize they’ll miss one day — the giggles, the silliness, the in-between moments that matter just as much as the perfectly posed ones.

I hope the Loyet family had an amazing trip to the Smokies and left with memories they’ll treasure for years to come. It was such a joy capturing this season of life for them, and I’m honored to have been a small part of their family adventure.

If you’re planning a visit to the Smoky Mountains and want photos that feel natural, joyful, and true to your family, I’d love to help you preserve those memories.
