I absolutely love when families return for photos—it’s such a joy to see how kids grow and to capture new memories together. The Deaton family is one of those families that always makes me smile. A couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of photographing the kids during a Valentine’s session. Even then, they were some of the easiest kids to photograph: just sit, smile, and let their personalities shine. Gorgeous inside and out!

This time, our session was extra special because we got to welcome the newest little member of the family—baby Grayson. I honestly didn’t think it was possible for Jasper to get any cuter, but seeing him alongside his little nephew was pure sweetness overload. Their smiles, the way they interact, the love in their family—it all made photographing them an absolute dream.

Returning families like the Deatons are such a gift. Watching these kids grow, capturing new milestones, and creating memories for their family is why I love what I do. And I have to admit, this family makes it a little extra fun—they are all just so good looking!

I feel so grateful to be a part of their story and can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.
