I’ve had the absolute joy of photographing this sweet family through so many of their biggest milestones—starting with their engagement, then their wedding, and now getting to capture the anticipation of their second baby. Watching families grow right in front of my camera will never get old.

This time, we were celebrating a baby boy 💙 And let me just say… Audrey was absolutely glowing. She made motherhood look effortless and beautiful, even while chasing around her little one and preparing for life with two.

We decided on a location that truly shows off the beauty of the Smokies—mountain views, soft light, and of course, the river. If you know me, you know I love incorporating water into sessions when I can. There’s just something so peaceful and dreamy about it.

Now… let’s talk about that river for a second 😅
It was cold. Like, really cold.

But Audrey? Total trooper. She didn’t even hesitate and stepped right in so we could capture those magical, flowing moments in the water. And of course, I couldn’t let her do it alone—I went in too in solidarity! Totally worth it for the images we created together.

What I love most about this session isn’t just how beautiful everything looked, but how much love you can feel in every image. The way they interact, the excitement for what’s to come, and the quiet in-between moments… those are the things that matter most.

Looking back at these photos hits a little differently knowing he’s in their arms now. These images are such a special reminder of the waiting, the anticipation, and the love that was already so present before he arrived.

I am so incredibly grateful to be the one they trust to capture these memories. It truly means the world to me to walk alongside families in these seasons of life.
