The Smoky Mountains have a way of bringing families together, and the English family’s session was a perfect example of that. Visiting all the way from California, they chose the Smokies as the backdrop for their family memories, and I’m so glad they did.
As a boy mom myself, I instantly connected with this session. Jaxson and Jayce are right around my own boys’ ages, which made photographing them feel extra special. They were full of energy, curiosity, and those sweet little moments that happen so naturally when kids are just being themselves.
We explored the area, laughed a lot, and—thanks to a little candy motivation—captured some of the best smiles and giggles. Those in-between moments, the ones filled with laughter and personality, are always my favorite. They’re the moments that truly tell a family’s story.
Sessions like this remind me why I love photographing families on vacation in the Smoky Mountains. It’s not just about the photos—it’s about freezing a season of life, the ages, the connections, and the joy of being together in a beautiful place.
English family, thank you for trusting me with these memories. I hope these images always bring you back to your Smoky Mountain adventure and this sweet chapter with your boys.
