When Jake reached out about planning a proposal for Jessica, he was clear on one thing—he wanted it to be private, intimate, and surrounded by natural beauty. After discussing a few ideas, we decided on the perfect spot: the beautiful bridge on the Gatlinburg Walking Trail. This location is picturesque, tucked away from the busy crowds, yet offering a stunning view of the surrounding nature. It was everything Jake was looking for—and more.

Though we had some rain in the days leading up to the session, the trail was still a lovely walk. The crisp air and fresh scents of the forest made it a beautiful setting for a special moment like this. The rain had left the trail a bit muddy, but it didn’t take away from the magic of the moment. It was a quiet and serene walk, just the perfect pace for Jake and Jessica to enjoy each other’s company before the big moment.

I hid near the bridge, camera in hand, waiting for the couple to arrive. The anticipation was building, and I couldn’t help but smile knowing what was about to happen. As they made their way across the bridge, Jake took Jessica by the hand, led her halfway across, and then dropped to one knee. The moment was pure magic—Jessica was completely taken by surprise, and her reaction was absolutely beautiful.

Of course, she said YES! The look of joy and love on Jessica’s face was something I’ll never forget. It was such a genuine, emotional moment, and I could tell that this was a day they would both treasure forever.

After the proposal, we took a short walk back down the trail to capture a few more photos of the newly engaged couple. Jessica’s stunning ring gleamed in the natural light, and their chemistry was just perfect. It was such a joy to capture their love and the start of this exciting new chapter in their lives.
