When Sangeeta reached out to me about her pre-wedding photoshoot, I knew it was going to be something special. This amazing couple traveled all the way from Texas to capture their love in the fall beauty of the southeast. They were hoping for vibrant, golden hues and rich reds as the backdrop to their photos, chasing the peak of autumn’s colors. However, Mother Nature had a different plan.
It was a bit early for the full autumn spectacle we had all been dreaming of, and much of the landscape was still lush and green. While we didn’t get the fiery reds and oranges they were hoping for, we made the most of it, and the results were absolutely stunning.
Sumit and Sangeeta are one of those couples who make you believe in true love. From the moment they arrived, I could see the chemistry between them. They shared gentle smiles, easy laughter, and an undeniable connection. The way they interacted with each other—supportive, affectionate, and incredibly easygoing—made capturing their moments feel effortless.
They are also an incredibly good-looking couple, with a natural elegance that translated beautifully into every shot. I wanted their photos to reflect not just the gorgeous backdrop of the session, but their personalities as well. Every glance, every laugh, every soft touch between them told a story of love and anticipation for their upcoming wedding in October.
Since we arrived in early October, we were a bit early for peak foliage. The leaves had just begun to turn, and while there were still hints of yellow and orange, the landscape was predominantly green. As a photographer, this presented a challenge, as we had to think creatively to achieve that warm, autumnal glow that Sumit and Sangeeta were dreaming of.
I decided to embrace the challenge, utilizing the environment as it was and focusing on the light, the textures, and the mood. By carefully playing with depth of field and focusing on the couple’s natural expressions and chemistry, I was able to create a sense of warmth and intimacy that transcended the season’s colors. In post-processing, I used subtle editing techniques to bring out those rich, golden tones they were hoping for, adding warmth and soft fall colors where nature hadn’t quite delivered.
Even though we didn’t have the vibrant fall colors they had imagined, we still managed to capture some breathtaking moments. There were quiet, tender exchanges as Sumit held Sangeeta close during a serene moment in the woods. Their laughter echoed through the trees when we moved to a more open area, the sunlight filtering through the branches. The photos have a timeless, romantic feel—just like the love these two share.
Sumit and Sangeeta, thank you for trusting me to capture such an important moment in your journey. Despite the challenges we faced with the fall colors, you both made the day truly unforgettable. I know your wedding day will be just as beautiful and full of love, and I’m honored to be a part of it.
To anyone reading this and dreaming of their own fall photoshoot, remember that every season has its own charm. Whether the leaves are at peak color or still green, it’s the love between the couple that truly makes a photo unforgettable.
Wishing you both all the best as you prepare for your big day. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
