This fall, we had the absolute pleasure of photographing the Goffinet Family during their visit from Indiana. Organized by the lovely Janis, the matriarch of the family, the session was filled with laughter, love, and a few unexpected surprises.

As we gathered at Mynatt Park in Gatlinburg, the crisp autumn air was perfect for capturing those vibrant fall colors. The park, with its stunning backdrop of fiery foliage, was an ideal setting for this lively family.

Energetic Boys and Adorable Smiles

Janis’s son, Justin, and his little ones brought a whirlwind of energy to the session. The boys were full of life—running, playing, and just being kids! Their joy was contagious, and it made for some of the most genuine moments. From playful piggyback rides to bursts of laughter, we captured memories that perfectly showcased the essence of family fun.

Alongside them was Janis’s daughter, Rachel, and her charming family. Little Eliza stole the show with her sweet personality and infectious smile. We managed to snap some beautiful couple shots that highlighted the love between Rachel and her partner, as well as some delightful moments with Eliza that will surely be cherished for years to come.

A Bear-y Unexpected Visitor

Just when we thought the session couldn’t get any more exciting, nature surprised us! While we were capturing a particularly candid moment, a bear made an appearance in the park. As someone whose son attends weekly Boy Scout meetings at Mynatt Park, I’ve heard many stories about these local bear visitors, but witnessing one up close added a thrilling twist to our session. Thankfully, everyone remained calm, and the bear quickly meandered off, leaving us with a story to tell!

Making Memories Together

The Goffinet family’s fall session was not just about photos; it was about creating lasting memories. Janis’s thoughtful organization brought everyone together for a day filled with love, laughter, and a dash of adventure. We wrapped up the session with warm hugs and promises to stay in touch, knowing that these images would serve as a beautiful reminder of their time together.
