This past weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Liz and Ryan during their couple session on the beautiful Gatlinburg Walking Trail. They were in town for the Smoky Mountain Truck Fest, and while I usually have a love-hate relationship with the loud, revving trucks, I decided to set my feelings aside for this session. And honestly? I’m so glad I did!

Liz came prepared with inspiration photos, sharing her vision of them walking through trees and splashing in a creek. It was clear right away that the Gatlinburg Walking Trail was the perfect spot to bring this vision to life. With its lush greenery and serene atmosphere, this location offered us not only beautiful backdrops but also a sense of adventure.

As we began our session, the energy between Liz and Ryan was infectious. Their laughter echoed through the trees, and the playful way they interacted with each other made my job incredibly easy. We wandered down the trail, stopping to capture candid moments of them hand in hand, their smiles lighting up the path.

One of the highlights of our time together was definitely the picturesque bridge along the trail. It created a stunning focal point, allowing me to frame them against the backdrop of the surrounding woods. Liz and Ryan effortlessly posed and played with each other, making every shot a joy to take.

Of course, I had a schedule to stick to, but the fun we were having made it hard to keep track of time! We got so lost in capturing their connection that I found myself extending our session without a second thought. Who could resist the allure of a couple so in love, enjoying the beauty of nature together?

As we splashed in the creek, I watched as Liz and Ryan’s playful side emerged even more. The sheer joy of being together in such a magical setting was palpable, and I couldn’t help but feel grateful to be a part of it. Every splash, every laugh, every stolen glance made for stunning moments that I know they’ll treasure forever.

As our session came to a close, I felt a mix of satisfaction and excitement. Not only did we create beautiful images that captured Liz and Ryan’s love, but I also got to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Gatlinburg while doing what I love.
