Some sessions just stick with you—and the Oney Family’s was absolutely one of those. I loved every minute of this sweet morning together.

Kate and Michael traveled all the way from Indiana with their two little ones, Avery and baby Joshua, to soak in some Smoky Mountain time. They are such a nature-loving family, and it showed from the very start. Avery excitedly told me all about their vacation adventures, from hiking to pool time, and her energy brought so much life and joy to the session.

We met early in the morning by the river, which is one of my favorite times of day. The cooler weather was such a welcome change and made everything feel calm and cozy. Even the bumpy, pothole-filled road couldn’t slow them down—they were all smiles and totally up for the adventure.

Avery explored every inch of our spot, keeping us on our toes, while baby Joshua was perfectly content taking it all in. We wrapped up the session in the best way possible by wading right into the river, letting the kids be kids and capturing genuine, joyful moments as they happened.
