There are some sessions that remind me exactly why I love what I do, and my time with the Guyon Family was one of those. From the moment I pulled up to their gorgeous home and saw the wide open property we’d get to explore, I knew this was going to be special.

The Guyons welcomed me so warmly, and photographing their family felt more like spending the afternoon with old friends than working. Everyone was fantastic—from the sweet grandmas, Jean and Kathy, who were such a joy, to the kids who kept things lighthearted and fun, all the way down to the little dogs who couldn’t resist sneaking into a few shots. 🐾 Those surprise moments are often some of my favorites.

What I loved most about this session was how natural and effortless everything felt. The family’s connection with one another was so easy to capture. Laughter filled the air, kids ran around enjoying the space, and we got such a mix of posed portraits and candid, joy-filled images. Honestly, I knew I was in trouble the moment I checked the back of my camera—it was going to be very hard to narrow down the final gallery!

You can always tell when I’m having too much fun because I lose track of time, and that absolutely happened here. I went well past my session limit, but when you have a family this beautiful and a setting this perfect, it’s impossible to stop.

I told the Guyon Family that my goal was to deliver all my summer galleries before we head out on vacation next week, but truthfully, I might just end up delivering theirs early. I can’t help myself—there are so many favorites I can’t wait to share!
