One of my favorite parts of being a photographer here in the Smoky Mountains is meeting families who return to this place year after year. The Lindsey family traveled in from Alabama for their visit, and this trip held a lot of meaning for them—it was a wish from their grandma, great-grandma, Nana.

Sabre shared that growing up, their family used to come to the mountains every year as kids. Those trips created so many special memories, so it felt incredibly fitting to document this season of life with updated family photos in the same place that holds so much history for them.

This session was full of joy, connection, and easy moments. The kids did an amazing job, and Wyatt especially impressed me with his smiles. And of course, we can’t forget Lola—their adorable pup—who joined in and added even more personality to their photos.

Sessions like this are such a reminder of why photos matter. Trips end, kids grow, and seasons change, but these images will always bring them back to this time together in the mountains. The Lindsey family made my job so easy, and I’m truly grateful Sabre chose me to capture these memories for their family.

If you’re planning a Smoky Mountain getaway and want to document your time together, there’s no better place to preserve those moments than right here where memories are being made all over again.
