This summer I had the pleasure of photographing the Greer Family while they were visiting from Illinois. We decided to take a little drive up the Foothills Parkway for their session, and the Smokies did not disappoint. Even in the middle of the day, the mountain views were breathtaking and made the perfect backdrop for this fun-loving group.
Now, let me tell you—it was HOT. So hot that we kept the cars running between group shots just to grab some air conditioning breaks. But the Greers didn’t let the heat get to them. From start to finish, they were laughing, joking, and having fun with each other. Their energy was contagious and made the session fly by.
The kids especially kept things lively! They were full of personality and ready to jump into photos with big smiles. I’ll admit, I may have mixed up a few names here and there (okay, more than a few 😅), but they were such good sports and kept me on my toes the whole time.
Sessions like this are why I love photographing families in the Smokies. It’s not just about the mountains and views—it’s about the memories, laughter, and love that shine through in each photo. The Greer Family brought all of that and more, and I’m so glad I had the chance to capture their time here in Tennessee.
Greer Family, thank you so much for trusting me with your family photos! I hope these images will always remind you of your trip to the Smoky Mountains and the fun moments you shared together.
